Copy+Paste made it pretty quick. I was also bored. I don't have a job right now, so I have way too much time.

I feel that the RB depth is pretty good in the B1G. I figured Weismann should be higher until I looked at the other names.

I wonder how good Maryland's QB is. It seems like he has targets to throw to.

I looks like MSU and Michigan's defense will be strong. Be interesting to watch their game against each other.

CJ Brown is a solid QB. He's not a great passer, but not terrible either. He's a duel threat QB that can beat you running the ball if he has a lane to run. The Terps are loaded at WR. Stefon Diggs and Deon Long will both be returning from season ending injuries. They both missed the last six games of the season. Marcus Leak will also be returning to the team after sitting out last season for personal reasons.

3 dl/lb on 1st/2nd team, I like that. Collins also makes the list, and Valentine is underrated. If the front seven is finally back, maybe we have a defense that we believed Pelini would give us every year.

Tell me more about Brandon Scherff, blythe and Walsh when you can, Jerms. Lookin' pretty solid up front according to Steele.

Some of my thoughts on some of the Iowa players

Scherff is a beast. He has started 25 and played in 32 games. In 2011, he became a starter as a freshman and played in all games but the game vs ISU. In 2012, he played every offensive play until he got injured in the 7th game vs Penn State. Started and played every down in all 13 games last season. He is the most experience on Iowa's line. I think if he went pro, he would have been drafted above Van Sloten.

Blythe is a beast as well. He was a guard before he moved to center. He is very experienced as well (22 starts, 23 games played). Played every offensive down last season. He was a guard 2 years ago.

Welsh started all games last year and 1 two years ago. Played in 7 games 2 years ago, so he doesn't have near the experience. I don't really know too much about him

QB Jake Rudock will be one to watch as well. He might not be at the level of the guys listed above, but he is a dual threat with more emphasis on passing. He will be well protected and has good RB and a talented back up. Doesn't have much for WRs. TE will be good. Iowa always has good TEs.

KMM had 1 big game as a punt returner vs WMU.

Defensive line developed very well last year. Carl Davis and Louis Trinca-Pasat will be strong up front.

I think the DBs will be tested at first. Kirksey was an excellent coverage LB last year and gave the DBs a lot of help. I think Desmond King will be strong, but IDK about as a corp.

The LBs will be a question mark. I think Iowa had one of the best LB corps last season and was disappointed with what they ended up in the All B1G team. Now the 3 stud LBs are gone.

I looked a little more into the OL for Iowa...

I am surprised Austin Blythe is so low. He has 22 starts as a junior. He started 9 games at RG as a freshman (played in 10 games) and, as a freshman, played every down in 5 games. Last year, he started all games and gave every offensive snap in 10 games. 6'3 300#. I wonder if him being a junior has a lot to do with it.

I am surprised Walsh is so high. He has has 14 starts. He did start all of last season. I wonder if centers are strong in the B1G but not in the guard position. As a sophomore, he started the season on special teams and did not play a single down on offense until the 3rd or 4th game. He ended up starting 3 games before getting injured and missing 5 games.

Scherff has only missed 7 games in his eligible tenure at Iowa (37 games). He did not play in 2 games as a freshman, guessing it was because he was a freshman. He also missed 5 games as a sophomore due to a broken leg.

The other 2 are not very experience, however, the other guard is a sophomore. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a stud when Nebraska comes to town. That would be a strong left line, but we'll see. The RT started as a sophomore for 3 games and none last season (but he was behind 2 great Ts). I am not expecting much from him though. Left side and dives to the right will be strong points for Iowa.

At one point in 2012 season, Iowa lost 3 starting OL for 2 games with all 3 being underclassmen.
