SEC teams are more than halfway to bowl eligibility before the season starts what with all the FCS teams they schedule.
Have you seen Oregon’s OOC this year or Washington’s the last two years? They are always chocked full FCS cupcakes like 2/3rds of the PAC every year.

I'm assuming he thinks Kelly Bryant gets beat out at Clemson. Otherwise, they have no business be ranked 2nd.

Cut the shit. The SEC followed by the ACC play the least amount of regular season P5 teams on average year in and year out.

Missouri has been in the final AP poll 19 times and only 3 of those times they were ranked in the AP preseason poll. If there's any team that exceeds expectations it us. We are picked around 30 to 35 by most this year, but I'm counting on top 15. That's just par for the course.

BC @ #23 is interesting. I know it is Phil Steele, but there isn't anything about BC that says they'll be anything more than a 7-6/8-5 type of team.

They really hit their stride late in the year. It wouldn't surprise me in they got to 9 wins this season(including bowl game). They have a hard schedule(especially getting VT and Miami) but I think they beat Miami at home(Miami is awful playing in the Northeast)

9-4 would probably put them right @ #23, too.

The BC/Wake game will be big for both teams.

Clemson should definitely be ranked #1 or #2 no matter who's starting at QB.

I was just thinking that is a very huge swing game. I thought BC and Wake were underrated all year last year, at least according to the polls, and the ORV section. Wake missed an opportunity to finish rank with the letdown against Duke at the end of the year. And BC really came on at the end of the year in ACC play. They were blowing people out, which is not very BC like.

This is college football .. the entire ranking system is built on speculation. The offseason is the best time to talk shit imo seeing how your team is undefeated.

Scott Frost hasn’t lost a game since his first year as a head coach.
Natty on a platter.

am I doing this right?

Texas above Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State is atrocious.

Michigan is too high.

Hairbawl has a worst record than Bo Pelini did after three years.
No reason to think Hairbawls will ever get Michigan to elite status.

They return a lot and the D line is devastating, but Kelly Bryant sucks. You need your QB now more than ever these days. They should go with the freshman tranny and then I say they are preseason #2.

They were the #1 team heading into the CFP last year with him. The rest of the team is so loaded I don't think it matters who starts at QB. Plus, I don't think there are any other viable options for anyone else.
