Koepka birdied the 9th (their 18th) to shoot a course record 63....there are a lot of dbl or worse holes out there, but 3 or 4 under tomorrow and he might put this thing away tomorrow.

I'm mostly kidding about putting it away tomorrow, but it's going to be hard to beat this guy.

I would attempt to play it...once, just to say I've played another major venue. But on the regular...nah.

One of the guys I play with sometimes played the black and one other one at the st park last yr...said he broke 90 and he's normally low 80s high 70s.

It’s not Augusta and not the Open. Also not the US open so it will always be the step child no matter when you play it

Yeah...my buddy said they didn't have any problem, booked it online and of course he was paying the out of town rate...$150+ so they got on pretty easy he said. I'll have to ask him again about it next time I see him...my best golf buddy is from Queens never played it, and we've both said we'd like to go experience the black at least once.

MLB is in full swing, NFL camps are open, CFB games are around the corner, the mindset of the fringe golf fan starts to shift to football was one reason I heard. May gives them a lot more venue options than August as well, plus it gives golf a big tourney every month March thru July starting with the Players.

For that price I'm not worried about how many swings i take...I'm getting that cost per swing low...real low.
