Kvitova exits French after fall at media duties

Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova says on social media that she has pulled out of the French Open because of an ankle injury suffered during "post-match press requirements."

The way she worded that seems like ...shit I don't what it seems like.

It's just a very strange thing to happen after the Osaka withdrawal.

I noticed the same thing. But all these pressers are ridiculous. Does a 1st round match really justify a flippin press conference where they as the same worn out questions? "what happened out there". "It seems like you lost your focus for a little bit in the 2nd set", blah, blah, blah.

The French Open is the brattiest of all the slams I think. The organizers need to sit down with the players before the tournament and discuss what they want. If the players don’t want press or media then do it. Or better still put the damned annoying press brats in an enclosure like the confession boxes and the players can sit outside without having to see their faces.
