He will be 74 years old on opening day. He's remarkably spry for a 73 year old but talk about a guy stuck in rinse and repeat mode for the last 4 or 5 years he was in Seattle.

Love the guy but being an NFL head coach is a seriously demanding job, even moreso when you have to rebuild everything. He will be the first 74 year old to be a head coach in the NFL.

If Jim Harbaugh has a puppy, he's kicked it across the living at least twice now. Him and Carroll have a history spanning the Pac-12, NFC West, and now the AFC West. I don't know what the rivalry is between the Raiders and Chargers but....... business is about to pick up!

Pete knows how to coach but his choices for coordinators got worse each go around and that did him in. So hope he makes good choices to start with at least.

Thanks.....

Won't surprise me if he goes with either Steelers QB they don't keep.....I would prefer RW but Fields would boost the lackluster running game after we let JJ walk to GB. We gotta fix the OL a bit, add another RB and a #1 receiver....we got some good #2 in Meyers and youngsters Tre Tucker and DJ Young. Plus Bowers and Mayer at TE.

He's a young 74.....spry and a lot of energy for a guy his age....looks a decade younger.

He signed a 3 year deal with an option for a 4th.....that's about right.....just come and get us back on track and then he can retire.

I know I don't stop in here as much as other team boards but I appreciate the feedback. I wasn't sure if it was just time for a change in Seattle or if he had lost his coaching mojo.....

He was who I wanted from the jump as soon as we fired AP. Johnson scared me since he has never been a HC. I am so jacked right now!!!!

Carroll will change the culture in Vegas. I thought AP could do it but he didn't have the experience needed for a HC IMO.

He wasn't even a DC, just the LB coach when they hired him. DC Patrick Graham had to feel some type of way about that.

Another question for the Seahawks faithful.....did things end so badly for RW in Seattle.....that Carroll couldn't or wouldn't call up RW and recruit him to the Raiders?

RW isn't prime RW but he played better in Denver and Pittsburgh than what we have had since McDumbass released Carr....

Wonder if Pete would be interested in trading for Geno?

He’ll improve you guys I have no doubt .. He’s getting older now but the guy knows the game and knows how to rebuild a franchise… He showed that at USC and he showed that in Seattle … I have no doubt he’ll show it for the Raiders also …

I think Russ brought what happened on himself, he started thinking he was the reason Seattle was having success instead of the team as a whole …. Russ went behind Pete and Johns back to the owner Paul Allen and tried to get them fired, which was a HUGE no no … I think some of that tension was also from John scouting and wanting Patrick Mahomes in the draft, Russ got pissed about it … I highly doubt a reunion happens because of how things ended, BUT, if Russ came with a cheap price tag I’m sure Pete might consider it initially while he looks for a good young starter for the future … Pete is pretty big on second chances, he’s a good dude, will always be my favorite Seahawks coach… Just ahead of ground Chuck and Mike Holmgren …

Pete is definitely a good defensive coach, he likes to draft defense also, he’ll go after that for sure … Our defense kinda fell apart his last couple years in Seattle but part of that was some bad defensive coordinators, and swinging and missing on the Jamal Adams trade, that one set us back.. BUT he made up for it with the Russ trade right before he left…

His nasty defenses were long in the past by the time we parted ways. I think the game passed him up a bit on the defensive side of the ball. He was used to having hall of fame players and relying on them play like it. It worked until it didn't.

Russell was someone who turned from the underdog hero to an arrogant prick. I think he got humbled in Denver and wouldn't see why Pete and Russell couldn't colab again.

Pete is player's coach to a T, an excellent motivator and loyal AF. He will change the culture, not sure if he can get to the top again but I'll be rooting for yall.
