i'm watching the press conferences over lunch. Brady Hoke is on now and he does not exactly come off as being a genius in my opinion.

I am not listening or watching the press conference but let me guess his comments

"We have a good quality football team"

"I like the character and leadership of my guys"

"We need to execute"

"This is the best group since I have been here"

"I have the utmost confidence in what we are doing"

That about sums up the canned answers to any and all questions.

What was that 2 mins where no one asked questions.

Assuming 4 or 5 had turnover questions but was afraid to ask

Remind me to skip next year's Media Days

Oh, that was terrible.

The only good one was Delaney. The rest of them were rather boring. They all did coach speak.

D'Antonio was the best one because he tried to get out of there as fast as he could.

O'Brien from Penn State tried to duck questions. Just about all of Urban Meyer's questions were about non-football issues, even Aaron Hernandez, and Meyer stood there and took them all on, he did not try to duck the questions like O'Brien did. O'Brien did let slip that QB Tyler Ferguson is having personal issues, probably about his Mom and her cancer. Hope all goes well for Tyler's Mother.

Trust me, the words execute and execution were used. Specifically when asked about what in the flying fuck happened in Nebraska's 4 losses.

He used the word multiple when describing how much more he thinks they can do scheme wise in terms of having one of the more physically gifted groups he's coached, cough (recruiting) cough cough.

The word "potential" was used like a pass-around college slut.

He probably said "football" upwards of 25 times in a 5 minute period. "I like this football team, he's a football player, get ready for that football game, this football program, they're a good football team."

probably because it's not an interview, coaches give 2 second answers when the media wants them to spend minutes on it.

anyone else thinking maybe Bo and co should do less scheming for the other teams tendencies and more letting the kids play? I mean how many times did you hear Beck or Pelini after a game talking about how the other team did something different than they expected? How it takes them time to adjust to what that other team is doing? shouldn't we be doing something different that the other team needs to adjust too?
