Interesting. Do they already have a replacement in mind?

i thought he had some production and his salary was pretty low.. serviceable back up.. either they have someone else in mind or there was some other conflict we are not privy too as of yet.. wait a few days and the press hounds will sniff out any dirty laundry..

Kyle Love is gone too. They're really thin at DT now:

Vince Wilfork
Tommy Kelly
Armond Armstead
Marcus Forston
+ a bunch of "Who?" players

Gonna need to add some depth there.

From CSNNE;
But a source says Deaderick’s work ethic had been a nagging issue since he arrived and that Deaderick was “complacent.”

Signed a two year extension, thought he was safe.

Maybe Richard Seymour?

I would've said "Absolutely no way" two weeks ago, but Tommy Kelly gave an interview where he said that one of the big reasons he came to play for the Pats was because Seymour told him, "Go play for the Patriots."

If he's gotten over things, I'd take him back, he won't be the guy he was a decade ago obviously but he can still play.

Sure, I'd have him back.
I guess I never understood why Bill traded him.

If we have to rehash that - because they didn't have the cap room to sign both Wilfork and Seymour, and he saw that he could get rid of Seymour a year earlier than he'd lose him in free agency anyway, sign Wilfork, and add the Raiders' first round draft pick.

Side benefit of having Seymour gone is that Wilfork has blossomed into a leader since he stepped out from under Seymour's shadow.

None of which is to say I wouldn't take him back - I would in a heartbeat if he's willing to do it.

I would love to have Seymour back.. I could unretire my fan Jersey thats boxed up now.. He should help the now depleted line he knows the system and he should be able to retire as a Patriot in a year or so ..
