The Lord loves Tebow. Me? Not so much.

Interesting, tho...you wanted the god of thunder for him. :)

More, thought I would give you a good laugh.

It did, but I didn't have a chance to post over here, I think it was like 3 in the morning when I saw it. A good chuckle first thing in the morning is good for the soul, I always say. ;)

So!!!

@MilkSpiller22 , your thoughts on the huge battle going on over in the Big Leagues?

I am staying out of it, being a newbie and all. Not to mention that my motto has always been: Peace, Love and Understanding.

You know my thoughts about vetoes. What always gets me is the veto that prevents collusion. If the penalty of collusion is to be kicked out. Why do you even need the veto?? If you think it is collusion kick them out If it is not then let the trade go.

Now if you want to prevent shitty trades then that is a whole other story.

30 team league, tho. What if there were, as has been talked about, flipping to a third team to make it a 3 way trade? You never know how things will turn out.

I am not talking about this trade. I am just taking about vetoes in general. I hate the prevent collusion logic. Because there is none. How many bad trades makes it collusion?? And if you think it is collusion and the penalty for collusion is being kicked out then why do you even need the veto rule??

Vetoes should either be not allowed at all, or to prevent all bad trades, or a strategic game play.

But to prevent collusion only creates fights.

Well, you are right about this part.

Can you share? I love me some veto talk!
Cardinals trades away
Martin, Russell
Braun, Ryan
Pollock, A.J.

Diamondbacks trades away
Chalmers, Dakota
Helsley, Ryan
Quinn, Heath
Soroka, Mike
Garrett, Stone
Boxberger, Brad
Lackey, John

Soroka is rated as 78th best prospect.
Stone is the only other top 10 prospect for his team

It's really bad. But I could easily see this trade without one of the OF. The second OF was overkill

What I hate about vetoes (the most), is the wait period. If I want to make a deal on Sunday night, and that deal is accepted, I want the transaction to be immediate. To make a strategic trade (i.e. wanting to acquire a 2-start pitcher, or a hitter lined up at Colorado and at Philadelphia), it would have to be accepted by Friday the previous week (on the 3 day default wait period).

Then there is "the we don't know shit, only see names" vetoes. (i.e. Owner X trades David Price to Owner Z for Rick Porcello in May last year, and it's vetoed because Owner X is getting "ripped off"... fast forward... Cy Young stays with Z or X gets an even better deal)

Or the too much for him dynasty deal I often bring up when I traded a shit load to the owner of (rookie) Kevin Durant. They made me take off a player, and the rest is history.

Collusion? I agree with milk. Don't need a veto to kick them out.

Strategy? Milk... you would have to blow my socks off, even though it sounds like it could be fun. Your first attempt at "restrictions" (in the Empire league) did no such thing... and now that I think of it, I apologize for being so ultimatumish.

Yeah... that's ridiculous. What are Cardinals' reasons? Has he given any?

Braun for Lackey
Pollock for ?

even if you ignore Martin, it looks whacky... I have honestly never heard of those five prospects.

Apparently more players were going to be flipped in 3rd deals by both teams...I dunno, right now this is pretty deep for me, and no pun intended. As for the prospects, Soroka and Stone are 'the names', for what that's worth. Think I've heard of Dakota as well...or was that Dakota Fanning? Lol, who knows...
