Nucks placed Parent on Waivers, thoughts?

I think he'd be an upgrade to our 6 spot he's got a cap hit of $925,000 so he might be a bit difficult to fit under the cap if no one is moved.

He'd be replacing an injury prone matt walker & a human pylon in Andreas lilja. He's also the same type of non flashy stay at home defenseman that Sean o'donnell is(minus the sandpaper) and those types of players compliment Mez's play style.

i was a huge parent supporter while i was here.. but he's just too injury prone

and keep in mind the canucks have one of the deepest blue-lines in hockey when you say he failed to make another nhl team..

he's a solid player, he just gets hurt too much and then gets out of his rythm..

This is the point that needed to be made. Either of those prospects could fill our six role comfortably.

Yeah....the Flyers gave him every opp in the world to be a major contributor/fixture in this organization, but like everyone said...injuries...injuries...injuries slowed him down to nothing.

You would be correct and they still have to get Couturier's contract as 1 of the 50. This plus never being the same player since back surgery = NO
