So here's the real question...
Did Lord Bill trade him to the panthers for a pack of cheetos as a big Fruck you to the Bucs? We got him on the cheap and the Bucs certainly need secondary help in a bad way.
The fun part is, both our games with Tampa are late in the year, and Gilmore will be fully integrated into our Defense.

A strong defense just got even better, Matt Rhule just might win coach of the year
I think it might be more likely that Scott Fitter could get GM of the year. He's pulled off some quality deals this year.

Just read that if Gilmore leaves for free agency at the end of the year the Panther's are projected to get a 2023 5th round compensatory pick. So Panther's GM turns a 2023 6th round pick into a 5th round pick and gets Stephon Gilmore at a most reasonable salary

It is funny that Steve thinks all that face movement is making a difference. Reminds me of Gruden in his days.

It’s obvious daddy is making the decisiones in defense for the Pats. Or is the kid actually doing anything?

Agree on what?
You quoted my comment where I said the release wasn't official until 4 and said that because Rappaport said it that you would say it's official. Then a minute later you said you have until 4 until the release is official. I'm sure you just misunderstood what I said but it just read funny to me being one after the other.

It's Rapport, so I would say, official.

You have until 4:00 pm until the release is official. The Cardinals did the same thing with Rodney Hudson, which might have been their smartest off-season move.

You read on Twitter? Because he's not going to qualify for comp picks being added to the roster this late.

It's a secret formula, but they do explain themselves each year.

So you think that Gilmore is just going to start playing for the Panthers for his $400K per week? He refused a restructure that would have given him a bonus and a new contract from the Patriots but Belichick wouldn't give him a Jalen Ramsey contract. How do the Panthers get him on the field? Give him a 3 year year extension at his asking price of $54M with $40 Guaranteed? and make part of that a $13M 2021 bonus?

You do know that the Patriots and Gilmore agreed to prorate $7M of his 2021 salary into his 2020 salary to make him happy. He figured he'd press them for a new contract in 2021 and all would be good. Until he tore his quad. Then he bitched like a baby that he was being underpaid.

You might want to prepare yourself to watch Gilmore sit out the season and just get paid $400K a week to watch the Panther games rather than risk another injury before he becomes a free agent in February 2022.

Besides drugs, no. But if he is on the spectrum or something, then I fell bad for thinking that

Defense is playing well so no, he isn't making any decisions.

Yeah, you are probably right. I'm not that well versed on the whole compensatory thing. Thought it sounded too good to be true

He has stated that he intends to play. One would think that he would ball out as he is auditioning for a new contract.
