Why would Kentucky come on the road to play this game? Very odd, they don't need resume builders like this.

UCLA hasn't been a resume builder since Ben Howland left.

Gotta hand it to UCLA ( as much as I hate to compliment them). They aren't playing around with their OOC schedule. They already played Kansas, they're playing Kentucky now and they still have Gonzaga and North Carolina coming up.

The funny thing is some of those programs shy away from Arizona because they feel they have nothing to gain and then they take on UCLA who has been in Arizona's shadow for the better part of a decade.

One of my closest friends is a UCLA fan, we were laughing the other day about the hoops expectations at UCLA. If Howland accomplished at USC, what did at UCLA, he'd get a lifetime contract. At UCLA, he got fired.

Three straight final fours and a ncaa runner up. Yeah I'd say he did okay. It's not like Alford is going to bring them to the promise land, although this win tonight would be amazing.

Fuck UCLA, but this is a huge win for them and really gives the Pac-12 some credibility after a disappointing non-conference season so-far.

It's good for SOS, RPI, BPI and all the other 3-letter agencies (well, that is, if UCLA can get their shit together and not stay so close to .500 basketball).

Wasn't much on basketball-wise that intrigued me last night so UCLA Kentucky ended up on my DVR.

Yeah, I want a strong conference. I root for all Pac teams until Pac play starts. I'm sure we've gone over this, but I want a better Pac. I want everyone to do well against other conferences so it makes the Pac better, which makes AZ better. Seeing all these Pac teams get beaten during the non-con every year and making the Pac weaker doesn't help AZ. We go through our conference schedule and only play a couple ranked teams. Our loses are more likely to come from letting our guard down than in actually playing an equal team and learning how to grow on the road.

UCLA is a conference staple. If they are good it brings more attention and prestige to the conference, and better competition to AZ. I don't want a shitty conference just because I want to see them lose. That doesn't help AZ at all.

Yeah that was awkward, and a little funny. Most of Pauley is against storming for any reason, but some kids just went to be there, and thought that was the next logical step. Made it worse that only a few did it.
