Hey guys. Will one of you make the second round pick for us over on the fantasy mock draft for the Bengals?I selected Jermod McCoy in the first round. We are 4 picks away from our pick and I will be in a job all day and can't make it.

Thread 'Round 2 Selection Thread' Round 2 Selection Thread

All picks from 1st and current second are listed there.

Appreciate it!

analyzing. 2nd round feels like an OL pick at this point. Protect Joey Cool.

although DL/S would sure be nice.

I have to figure out who's available.

anyone can chime in here.

I wish I was taking LineBacker. but the simple truth of the matter is, we have an opportunity to protect our golden boy. more often than not, the season goes to Shit when Joe gets hurt. Flacco is a great backup, but that should not be our deciding factor.

Connor Lew is good enough to start on this line.

went with connor lew, bisontis was on my radar, but the deciding factor was that we recently waived Matt Lee, so depth at center and guard fills a need for the Bengals.

Lew plays both G/C so the Bengals love that shit.

Jermod McCoy anyone?
A lot of fear around his ACL that another surgery could be required...kind of like what happened to All last off-season. To take him in a win-now mode and roll the dice would be very, very risky unless you are really sure about his knee...which I think is clear - most teams are not.

I think he gets drafted in the next few picks. He doesn't make it to us, if he does, take him immediately. He is not needed right away, you can ease him into the lineup and you have a safety net for Hill or Turner if they decide to leave.

I don't disagree that he'd be a talent to have, but he has to contribute this year...that's the whole reason the Bengals traded their 1st round pick...they are in "win now" mode....taking a guy for next year does not help here.

If it really comes down to it and they can't extend either current CB, they'll franchise Turner, and sign a F/A and/or draft a rookie. Looking down the road on several picks is exactly how the Bengals have whiffed on some recent picks in the manner of which they were nowhere near ready to help the team that year...and it hurt.

I like it. Breaks the mold a little from what we normally do. He looks like an animal on those highlights. Bengals definitely betting on the idea that if they fix the d-line, they'll fix the d.

We are switching to 3-4. Dex and BJ played 3-4 together in NY. Mafe comes from a 3-4, Allen comes from a 3-4, Slaton comes from a 3-4.

Love the Howell pick. Basically the same production, motor and profile as Reuben Bain who everyone wanted at 10. He’s the anti Stewart. And despite the short arms, I’d bet on him being the better rusher.

The CB pick in the 3rd is classic Duke. Reached 50 picks early on a project with measurables. Although I don’t the idea of Davis being their new Tre Flowers and shadowing TEs as a big nickel.

Connor Lew in the 4th. After trading down 18 spots to grab another 4th.

Love this pick.

Tacario Davis, I think is another pick where the Bengals basically just say, "well, you can't teach that kind of athleticism, but you can teach them football"
