She had said that Brian was like a 2nd father to her and kept him as coach after the affair went public, but she fired him in 2011.

I saw Melanie play live once at the FedCup final in San Diego. She played a great match against Schiavone keeping the USA alive. It's really too bad the way things ended up for her.
