I am in a pool where I have to pick one guy that ONLY PIMs count.

a) Was Carkner's 190 PIMs a fluke last year?
b) Does he have a solid spot in the line-up this year?

my other thought is to take Parros, as he might be busy cleaning up Perry's messes.
I'd rather use up a d-man spot for my goon that a forward though. Maybe Paul Bissonette?

I'd imagine he'd get more ice time than last year, because, honestly, what has gotten better for the Sens D? As for him taking PIMs. Yeah, he's a year older, a year slower the D (outside Karlsson and Gonchar) is not all that fast. That's gonna mean a lot of flat footedness... 2 for hooking, 2 for hooking, 2 for hooking...

He's the toughest guy on the Sens D, and likely the toughest on the team. Ruutu and Neil are more bark than bite. Probably a solid pick.

thanks. I was largely worried that Brian Lee had taken (or was a threat to take) his #6 spot.

That's what I want to see, but Clouston and Murray both seem to hate the kid.

this pool is won or lost on the goon.... what % chance is there of that happening?

Hard to say. He's had three shots the last three years and it never came to be. He's supposed to be the smooth skating offensive D-Man that Karlsson is now. With Cowen, Rundblad and Weiroch in the wings, I can't imagine why he'd get a legit shot now. I think they'll play him enough to make him tradeable and he's gone by the break. Plus with no toughness in the top 6, Carkner is the only option, really.

But since when have I been able to correctly identify what Sens management was going to do?
