About time something is on tv worth watching...

Great start to season 7 last night.

Amen. Far and away my favorite show. Last night did not disappoint.

Unfortunately, last season did.

Yea, that was a good premiere. I'm just not as into Dexter as I was in the beginning. Still definitely worth watching. March can't come fast enough. I mean, I want to savor the Fall/Winter... But Game of Thrones has taken over as my favorite TV series of all time.

Should be interesting how everything unravels with Debra so adament at trying to figure him out. That was an awesome closer to the episode, as well as the teaser at the end was... wow. The fucking mask with the horns, looks awesome. I imagine the twist is going to be with the Russian/Ukranian mob this season.

In a trailer before the season started they show Dexter killing Masuka. I hope that was only a dream sequence and just thrown in the trailer to throw us for a loop.

LaGuerta is on to him too. In the books, both her and Deb know, and LaGuerta dies...

Because it happened in the book doesn't mean it'll happen on the show. There's alot of things different in the books than there is on the show.

I only read the first few books (they started good and went downhill fast IMO - the series is much better) but they are very different from the series.

Very good opening to the season. Deb ain't stupid. Also nice to see Dexter squirm and caught in his own lies for once.

Funny though, they've said the 8th season would be the last, but based on the opening to this one it's hard to imagine there's much story left for Dexter. Maybe he's on the run in Season 8? Apprently they already have the ending figured out.

Best seasons in order? I actually didn't think last season was that bad:

Season 1 (Ice truck killer) - clearly the best season
Season 2 (Bay Harbor Butcher) - Dexter headbutting Doakes is one of the alltime great moments in TV
Season 4 (Trinity killer) - John Lithgow was amazing. Season-ending episode was heartbreaking. Added 'consequences' to Dexter's decisions that we hadn't seen before to that extent
Season 6 (Doomsday killer) - A little too 'Saw'-like at times, but generally pretty good. Creepy villains. Another good twist at the end.
Season 3 (The Skinner) - Focused on Dexter's friendship with Miguel. Well written and good Dexter development, but not that interesting in retrospect.
Season 5 (whatever) - totally forgettable. Weak entry in the series, very disappointing considering the end to Season 4. They never conclude Quinn's suspisions of Dexter, and Deb letting them go at the end made no sense.
