This reminds me of when I was a kid and i'd go watch my dad play in the city softball league. He would let me take a couple swigs when I didn't have anything to drink. I'd like to see a parent get away with that nowadays.

hell, as early as i can remember, Saturday night meant hockey on TV, mom made pizza, and dad poured some of his beer in my plastic Winnie-the-Pooh cup.

I at least tried to instill a bit of class in my kid. Her first sip was champagne at the Bel-Air Hotel.

My older sisters got me started at the age of five. They told me that it was water in that vodka bottle.

This reminds me of a time in high school I was bored at a baseball game (happens a lot)...and I came up with these alternate lyrics to "take me out to the ballgame" within half an inning. I can't believe I'm about to publicly embarrass myself with this, but here goes:

Let's go out and get drunk
Buy me some beer and some pretzel sticks
I don't care if I even get sick

as far back as i can remember my dad would give me his homemade wine mixed w/ 7up. I think its an Italian Canadian thing because I took my son to a 2 year olds (Italian background) birthday party 2 weeks ago and the father of the kid that was having the party asked me if i wanted to try his own dads homemade wine and that i could mix it with sprite because it was pretty bad (lol). real sophisticated palate there - lol

Gee I hope so. It is going to be sad no matter what because it is my last game at the Wach till the fall. If the NHL played year aorund it would be all good.

And I tend to fear the worst. In a way I am a pessimist because the bad stuff is what you have to worry about IMO.

My biggest fear though is that if ( which I think, no, I KNOW we can) make it to game 7 is that if we can win in Chicago.
