OT: The Walking Dead - BEWARE OF SPOILERS

2 weeks in a row without the main group (I don't count the part at the end) but it was worth it in my opinion. Governor is definitely back. Wasn't expecting Martinez to die so soon after coming back but that was well done. Mitch better make sure he doesn't teach the Governor too much about operating a tank or he could be next. Next week and the 2nd half are looking really good. Can't wait to find out more about the mysterious group of killers.

In the preview for next week, the Gov said something like "They will notice soon that their people are missing". Sounds like he kills or kidnaps Michone and Hershel.

I suspect they are gone from the prison after the mid-season finale.

I guess that Tara plays the role of Lilly. In the preview, he is telling this new group that the prison group are murderers and thieves. When they get there, Tara will shoot Beth and Judith, then blow Brian's head off.

Didn't he make reference to "what happened" before with the Gov? I took it as the Governor was reminded that Martinez is the one guy who knows a very dark secret about him. That or he just had planned to do that all along and waited until the right time (for the same reason).

I just really doubt another group (of characters) gets introduced ... production wise thats getting unwieldy. Maybe they show Abraham offing these people with the supplies in a backstory episode and "those people" in that camp were what we have come to know as "the Hunters" ... they didnt last long in the comics ... wouldnt surprise me if they didnt last long in the tv series either

on talking dead, they went down the road of Martinez meaning ... maybe we could share leadership

which led to the Gov screaming ... "I dont want it" several times as he was pushing Martinez into the zombie pit ... which led him to try and leave the camp ... he quit pretty quick once he drove up to zombie quicksandville and decided (i think i saw the comic book thought bubble over his head) ... hey, maybe i should be leader again

you couldnt really tell whether he was all in or what at some points ... which the guys on talking dead pointed out

I doubt they will give Abraham his own back story ep this soon. They have already had two non-Rick episodes this season so I doubt we will see any more, and Abe needs to be introduced to viewers before they would accept that kind if treatment.

i agree. I think it was just another group much like the guys from philly in the bar. wont see or hear from them. its just showing how brutal it has gotten to be in the world

but the whole guy draped in the "murderer" placard kinda didnt make sense to me ... i guess you could have the scenario where the "liar" and "rapist" have their way with "murderers" family and everyone ends up dead so "murderer" does himself in

why the heads of the dead men in the cabin? ... I thought it to be some sort of booby trap set by the real survivalist who was out and about ... meh ... just spitballin

ok I watched it again today

at the survivalists house.

there were 2 military guys that were killed, tied up and beheaded.

this is what I think happened.

the first guy was called liar. I imagine he was the one that that talked his way into the home and lied about whatever he could to get that families guard down

the second guy was called rapist. I can only imagine that he raped his wife and/or daughter

the guy that killed himself was the survivalist that owned the property. the jacket he wore matched the one in the picture that one eye bri was looking at. both military uniform guys had signs NAILED to their chests. the one of the guy who killed him self had it only TIED around his neck. he killed the other two after those military guys raped and killed his wife and daughter he then committed suicide. his family turned (maybe bit him to cause his suicide choice) before he killed himself. I can guess he lost his mind and took their heads which were on the floor in that cabin. so Im thinking it had nothing to do with <comic book spoiler>abraham which I think is whom rick meets at the end of the next episode much like when andrea met michonne type cliff hanger </comic book spoiler>

This is EXACTLY how I see it playing out. The speech we saw the Gov giving in the preview sets it up too perfectly.

I hadn't re-enacted the whole scene in my head, so I like your detail, but that was kinda how I thought it came-to-be. "Murderer" killed the other two, and was so distraught over it (or over something), that he killed himself, while applying the label to himself.

As for Abraham and his crew, I really don't think we will see them until ep 10 or so. I think they play the meeting very close to the comic (at the farm). We know we go to Ft Benning at some point this season, so I suspect they go there based on Eugenes story, or they go to DC after Benning based on a story Eugene tells post-Benning.

Just watched it again. Funny line that I thought nothing about the first time around. After The Governor asks about fishing, Pete says "The lake is dead." Little did he know at the time how right he was.

Also this Mitch guy really reminds me of Shane in the 2nd season. Other than his haircut and maybe his build, he doesn't look like him but he definitely seems to have the same attitude. He's not as far gone as The Governor but morals definitely take a backseat to survival.

I think your analysis is pretty spot on, Matty. I hadn't thought about it much, but your scenario makes total sense.
