I thought it might have been because it wasn't Tuesday or Wednesday but it wasn't actual Spaghetti and that was Herschel's idea anyway.

Just watched it again. How the hell did that family survive as long as they did without knowing that you shoot/stab the zombies in the head?

They apparently have a lot of cured meats... and little sense of adventure.

Okay episode - I'm not really a fan of the split storyline approach where they don't do anything with the other group for an entire episode, nor do I appreciate them trying to humanize a psychotic mass murderer. I'm not falling for it Walking Dead writers!!

The one scene I thought was a little odd - weren't the daughters right next to Tara and the Gov when they were going at it? I thought that was pretty strange.

I was all over on how this episode was. I loved that it was all about the governor. He is such a good actor that it was nice to see start to finish. I thought at first that when they were doing the voice over at the start he was talking to Carol and that she was asking him questions. She has never really seen what he looks like so I thought maybe she accidentally teamed up with him.

I hated how they are trying to make his this anti hero. The writers have this knack to grind out the favourites until they become annoying. How do you try to make a mass murderer into some kind of hero. This guy will sacrifice each of those girls to save his ass and if he doesnt I would be shocked.

Then I was well I suppose he is trying to just forget who he was. That is why he took the new name off the wall when he introduced himself and why he decided to do all those tasks for those incredibly demanding people. I tell you if that girl tries to fist bump him one more time I expect him to shoot her right between the eyes. Speaking of which How could they survive that long in that apartment with walkers in the building and not know to shoot them in the head. I suppose its very possible they just sheltered themselves in so tight its believable. Dont you think its weird that so many places have not been looted? It seems like 99.99% has turned into walkers. I just find it amazing how they keep finding awesome weapons around so easily.

The Governor getting it on with that girl sort of makes sense with her daughter and sister right next to them. Very much like Rick and Lori in the tent with Carl sleeping when they hooked up again. The Governor has mirrored Rick when he came out of the coma. He has been wandering pretty sick and almost ready to die and he meets someone that takes him in, helps them out and wants to keep searching for whatever it is he was looking for (rick his family, governor a new family?) I did love how the governors men just left him sleeping in a tent (by the way anyone notice that was the spot where they killed all those army guys when the governor was first introduced). I also thought it was neat how he fell into his own walker pit (I knew I heard gun fire while he was fighting those pit walkers) and ran into his guys again. Full Circle Guvner...

Is this the fall of the governor story line that Kirkman wrote recently? I believe the governor will be dead in the next couple episodes and we will meet Ricks new enemy which Im hoping they go right to Negan

Also pretty funny that Chris would throw in Rob Ford jokes on the Talking Dead. That was great.

Special shout out to Chris Hardwick the host of Talking Dead. His father died 2 days ago and he spoke of it at the end of the show barely holding it together, you could see it in his eyes he was ready to unleash the emotion. That was pretty heartfelt at the end how he spoke of family.

Thats pretty much I how feel about the episode. It wasnt awful, and at times good. But overall I was underwhelmed. I liked the two new girls, they have potential. And the kid has potential too. To be a new Sophia.

I was hoping Carol would run into the Guv'na. Did she see him before, I cannot remember. If not she might not know who he was if she ran into him.

not sure if if its a spoiler if i limit what i say but Ill white it out anyways

the episode after next week is titled "too far gone" ... just thinking back , in the graphic novel, thats when the group and its leadership ok the murder of a group member and then later they annihilate a group that tries invading their compound (which is no longer the prison in the comics)

I dont mind the writers attempts to "turn" the governor ... its a fluid society ... what is good and what is evil and the decisions people make can be seen differently depending on the perspective ... gonna make for an interesting confrontation

gov has something to live for again ... does he do things differently now?

I was thinking at the beginning that he might have been talking to Carol too. That would have been pretty cool. Don't think she ever saw him but surely someone would have mentioned to the entire group "Oh yeah if you see a white guy in his 40s with only 1 eye, don't trust him."

that soldier lying tied to the tree with no head I think was killed by Abraham. I think this is how they are going to introduce him into the show. they are in the woods looking for a survivalist. They are going off the board from so much of the comic this could make sense.

Hee hee. Thanks! I'm gonna skip it and wait for this week's episode. I'm excited for Sunday because I feel like we missed an episode since we don't know what's going on with the group.

2 weeks in a row without the main group (I don't count the part at the end) but it was worth it in my opinion. Governor is definitely back. Wasn't expecting Martinez to die so soon after coming back but that was well done. Mitch better make sure he doesn't teach the Governor too much about operating a tank or he could be next. Next week and the 2nd half are looking really good. Can't wait to find out more about the mysterious group of killers.

Agreed. REALLY dragged out. Boring couple of episodes.

Back to the "there aren't that many zombies in the woods" thing. Prison has dozens of zombies showing up a day and these other camps nearby have nary a zombie around them.

Next week looks promising.
