this team has come out the gate with playoff level intensity on the defensive end, which has been awesome, unfortunately, at this juncture it has gotten them in some foul trouble (flagrants, technicals...), but it's been nice to see. that said, entire team seems to be gelling. loved Horford coming in at the end of the mike scott/tobias interview the other day with a quip they liked

5-0! Big win at Portland ... and with no Embiid! Both additions of Horford and Josh Richardson really paying off so far.

Would love to see the Sixers get Iguodala back somehow

However, indications are if he is bought out he is signing with the hated Lakers

We stumbled there for a few games with Embiid suspension and Ben getting hurt ... but it looks like we're back on track. Furkan Korkmaz missed last night, but he's starting to really contribute from 3. When our entire team is active and healthy ... we're going to be hard to beat. J-Rich with an excellent revenge game last night ... kid balled out; not so much for Butler :)

Obviously Jimmy was pressing, and I miss him, but glad that JRICH looks good. And, Tobias was also good.

ok ... good news is that we're winning despite not having JRich for a handful of games. The bad news is that if this team has a big lead in the 4th quarter they do everything to give it away in the last 5 minutes of the game! Man!!! 6 turnovers in the last 12 possessions almost allowed Toronto to come all the way back ... gotta tighten that shyt up!!! Bad down the stretch coaching ....

To be fair, BB did take Embiid out (3 straight TO) and put Ha-Oool Neto in to help seal the deal.

To also be fair, I think he used his last timeout way too soon and this team had no idea how to break the trap right out of their last timeout.

That's on the coaching ... twice they inbound the pass to Matisse in a Corner where it was easy to double team as he had no room to even dribble away from the double team.

Really pissed off Horford's not playing in this Celtics game ... tired of seeing this team lose to Boston for one reason or another. We need our full stable out there!

Embiid really stepped up and took care of business ... huge psychological win for us! Big ups to Mike Scott as well for filling Horford's minutes and racking up 5 3's! I would just like to see this team with it's FULL compliment of players ... seems like every game we are missing a key player.

I was yelling at my TV (give up the ball!!!) when Ben was bringing the ball up the Court when you knew Boston was looking to foul. Then he stepped up and hit 2 CLUTCH FT's ... great to see, but I still don't get why Brown didn't have someone else bring up the ball in that instance.

he needs to not be afraid to get fouled in those situations, too many times he's playing hot potato to get it out of his hands or actively running away from the ball that leads to turnovers.

Agree to an extent ... if the ball finds a way into his hands then yeah, don't play hot potato ... but they could have just inbound it to J Rich who handles well and is a much better FT shooter.

they inbounded to different people in Toronto and when he would run away, it didn't work out too well for them.

Because it's fucking ridiculous to have a PG that can't do that.

Can't baby these guys forever.

I hear ya, but by the same token, the most important thing is to get the win. It ended up working out yesterday ... but he's a 57% FT shooter; the odds are not in our favor that it works out consistently with him at the line in crucial situations. Should he be over 70-75% as a Guard? Absolutely ... but right now it's a fact that he isn't and the object of the game is to win by whatever means necessary.
