No he was much like Brodeur. Just waiting to get a call from some team looking for an enforcer. He must have gotten the message the days of the enforcer role are pretty much over in the NHL. I don't think he'll have trouble finding work somewhere with his Princeton education.

His career was short for sure, under 10 years. I think that injury he had Opening Night last year (2 years ago?) really hampered his game and he became a risk, not to mention he is basically an enforcer and under the cap you can't spend money like that (unless you're TO and give Orr a ridiculous or Calgary and Bollig a contract. WTF??).

Smart guy though, I'm sure he will be fine with his Ivy League education. I can see him probably going into finance or business, I hope he rocks the stache when he is advising clients on what to do with their money.

Still bugs me that Dumbo waived him, the Avalanche picked him up and then flipped him for a 2nd round pick to Anaheim.

Add in that Dumbo also sent a 2nd round pick to Colorado for Richardson and the Avs laughed at the Kings twice.

Puck--any way to get you to stop calling him Dumbo? Stuff like that doesn't ususlly bother me but being the architect of what the Kings have become after all the years of suffering should earn him the nickname "His Majesty" and not Dumbo.
