OT - New Metal Appetite?

For any other metalheads on this board, I've been listening to these bands lately, many people don't know them. So I figured I'd throw their names out there for you guys to check out.

Baroness, Amenra, Black Tusk, High on Fire, Isis, Mastodon, Priestess, Struck by Lightning, The Sword, Zoroaster.

Priestess is mellow, The Sword is like Sabbath, and the rest are like sludge metal. Check out Flatfoot 56 and The Dirges if your into Celtic punk.

I have been on a huge All That Remains kick for the last little while. And haven't been listening to too much other stuff. but Matedon is up there and I really haven't heard of the other ones.

Yea, Priestess was on Guitar Hero, they're more of a rock band. Not a big fan of 5fdp, their lyrics are too whiny. Mastodon is GREAT! If you like Mastodon, def check out Baroness, Black Tusk, Zoroaster and Struck by Lightning.

Really? Too whiny? Well, I guess since I am a Pens and Crosby fan that is why I like them, lol

I will take a look of them later on tonight. What about Stone Sour? They have a nice hard rock thing going on but with a lot more melody than Slipknot. Which are also awesome, but too mainstream now.

I'm very picky with music. Slipknot I can tolerate, but even their lyrics are whiny. When it comes to metal I like bands like Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer, Nasum, Dillinger Escape Plan, Job For A Cowboy, All Shall Perish, The Faceless, Amon Amarth, Deicide, Divine Heresy, Fear Factory, Cephalic Carnage, Cattle Decapitation, Immolation, Kataklysm, Unearth, Shadows Fall, Revocation, Mastodon, Black Tusk, Baroness, Amenra, Animals as Leaders, The Empire Shall Fall, High on Fire, Meshuggah, Psyopus, The Red Chord, Struck By Lightning, Throwdown... The list can keep on going.

I also listen to Blues, Jazz, and stuff you'd probably consider gay like Genesis/Phil Collins, Seal, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai... My musical taste is all over the place.

But when it comes to metal, I can't listen to guys crying about relationships or how they want to kill themselves.
