Bossman you'll be missed
I will be there Friday morning. Watch out bird boy.
Make sure you take a dump in Ohio on the way up!
Moving back? Can't imagine living there in first place, much less moving back?
Michigan is always home to those who have been born here. Beautiful state. Loyal sports fans. Most outsiders see "Michigan" and think "Detroit". Too bad.
It's the shitty politicians that force us to leave, but we always long to go home. This thread is a case in point.

Other than Detroit and the immediate area, every place I've been to up there, I've enjoyed. Both the MI (northish part) and Canadian sides of Lake St Clair are wonderful.
But don't tell anyone. They will take away my buckeye card. I know Higgy's wanted to go back for a while, and I am just joshing a bit. I am glad for her and Mr Higgy (who I understand is the Tigers' Manager). You can't put a price on being happy where you live.
And I certainly understand feeling the need to leave a place you grew up. What I can't fathom is ever going back. But that's more to do with where I left and where I landed. Couldn't pay me enough to even consider going back. I am very happy with the midwest. I have three neighbors who all grew up here, went somewhere else, and came back. They all went east and hated it.
I now present something I like to call - "how to offend two states at once."
Ohio = Michigan

The midwest is the best to live, honestly. And yes I consider my hometown to be far more midwest than eastern. Where did you grow up? B-more region? I know you've talked about that.
I made it back early Friday morning. It's just been a whirlwind of visiting with family and friends. Seems like this is the first break I've gotten since I have been back in town.
It's wonderful being back. Michigan is awesome and I will never, EVER leave here again.
