Manute Bol, retired basketball player, has died - Kansas City News - Plog

Sad news. He did do much for his homeland, Sudan

He even suited up to play goal one night in a minor league hockey game. I'll try to find the link...

In the fall of 2002, Bol signed a one-day contract with the Indianapolis Ice of the Central Hockey League. Even though he couldn't skate, the publicity generated by his single game appearance helped to raise money to assist children in Sudan

unfortunately, my last memory of him is from Celebrity Boxing.

Wow....unexpected...I used to work with with one of Mr. Bol's relatives a couple of years ago...Angelo Bol...he was one of the "lost children" of Sudan....RIP Mr. Bol...
