okay, i'm so incredibly sick of hearing about Steven Strasburg. Tomorrow he makes his major league debut against my team...and i would hope for nothing more than embarrassment. is that wrong? regardless, i hope the buccos schmack him back to the minor leagues. it'd basically be winning the world series in my eyes.

i know...i'm pretty pumped about tie-on. i'm spelling it as such because i'm so tempted to refer to him as 'tallon'. i hope that he's just one in a great group of future pirates pitching. looking down at our prospects, it looks pretty nice. that said, doesn't it seem like strasburg is being brought up way too early and is probably just to attract news/PR/fans? i hope so...i wanna see him get hit hard.

Yes, the Nats, and Washington spots in general, have had such unfettered and fantastic success the last couple decades, you certainly have a lot of reasons to hate on them.

I don't know the stats Pix, but he has been a man amung boys down there. The only reason why he didn't start the year up is because after like June 6th there is another year before they go to arbitration. Mike Leake of the Reds started the year up without ANY minor league experiance at all, and he has done phenomenal all year

Strasburg deserves the hype for his performance in the minors so far he's dominated everyone at AA and AAA. I hope he shuts down the Pirates and has a great year in the bigs. I'm definitely looking forward to his debut.

Strasburg looked very impressive. His heat was up around 100 all night. Also has a sick curveball. He could very well be a star.

7 IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 14 K's.

Pretty sweet debut by Strasburg. Hard to believe that the M's were last overall with 3 games to play 2 years ago and swept Oakland to let the Nationals have him. The Mariners can't even lose right...
