I have an old laptop (Lenovo) that I use just for downloads.
the issue is.... while the D drive has tons of room, the C Drive is creeping in on full for no particular reason.
I don't store any picture / movies / songs or anything on that drive, the programs on it are very minimal, and yet I only have about 7 of 30 GB free.
the "windows" file is almost 19 GB, which seems a tad bloated. "winsxs" takes up 12.4 GB of that.
how can I reduce the bulk of that, or alternatively make C: bigger?
I am trying to download a 12G file, and no matter how many times I clean or defrag the C drive, I can't get the required room.
The machine is somewhat volatile, so I have had some permissions issue when I try to put the destination file (using Vuze) directly onto D:
much obliged.
