I sure hope there's some form of supplemental discipline. I bring this up because, well, I'm biased frankly, but it sort of makes sense. Big Ben: never convicted of any crime that he was accused of (I won't get into whether or not he's really guilty, the courts made these decisions...and bargains...), but got a fairly hefty suspension for it. I was and am fine with that, because he deserved time. HOWEVER, when there are guys every month getting pulled over and getting DUIs, who get NO supplemental discipline, you start to wonder about where the league's head is.

That's pretty shmammered. We used to fuck around with an expensive breathalyzer and I have been completely fucked and blown a .22. No way I would drive.

Still that's a lot of hearsay on your part.

Hearsay? I mean, that's the details given. Pulled over at 3am, blew a .24

Keep in mind that the guy is 215. Insane amounts of alcohol.

i dont think any level of supplemental discipline can stop stuff like this happening.. its part of the NFL's culture IMO.. the ratio of thugs and partiers to role-models is badly skewed towards the former.. at least when it comes to air-time on the world-wide "leader"

I agree, but you can't just let it happen either. DUIs are serious, serious offenses, the fact that they seem to ignore them in regards to the player conduct policy is disturbing. So, guys just have to kill someone for it to matter?

even that (donte stallworth) doesn't seem to phase them as much as abusing dogs...........

:boink:

(disclaimer, for those who are hanging their mouth open in disbelief: i dont support what mike vick did, i'm just of the mind that he was punished in a disproportionate manner in comparison to other crimes that NFL players have committed.)
