OT - I'm bored, Part Four!

The movie focused more on his past about his father, and the one woman that was perfect for him all along, but he didn't see it till right now because he was afraid.

They gave a quick background about what the Green Lanterns are, but only spent 5 minutes showing him getting training to use the ring on the other Planet. Yet he somehow can beat the 1 guy that none of the other Lanterns could defeat, and they had 8 of their top ones fight him.

The rest of the movie was the same old story about how Humans are weak and shouldn't be trusted with anything, but they then prove that their ability to overcome anything is their greatest strength, and everyone is impressed.

Actually, the Green Lantern comic came out in 1940, and that was the basis for him getting the ring all along.

The first LOTR book wasn't published until 1954.
