Aside from some haze on the horizons, I'm not really experience the effects of those. Though, I did see two dispatches of firetrucks on the 15-minute walk back home from the store.

Just so you guys know, walking at night in Tucson is kind of scary. Not because I'm afraid of getting mugged, because I'm not, given (i) my stature, (ii) the fact that I don't have much money and I dress like it, and (iii) I'm in a pretty safe part of Tucson. No, I'm afraid because the sidewalks have cacti next to them and there are very few street lights. I walked in the middle of the road. It was safer.

It would scare me to death run into a cactus in the middle of a night unexpectedly.

My hometown has a Facebook page. I just saw a post by it on my news feed about Bob Bailor. He was a Major League Baseball player. I was always told he went to my high school, but according to this post he did not.

You mean the USA is good at Soccer? I had no idea. I guess that 4-0 loss to Spain was an aberration. Espeically since Spain installed their own version of the mercy rule in the second half.

Kinda weird. The Marlins and Mariners are playing NL rules in Seattle over the weekend. I guess the Marlins had a scheduling conflict with their normal ballpark. Mariners will be the road team too.

In High School I wasn't allowed to play soccer or volleyball, because I would hit the ball with my hands in soccer, and kick the ball in volleyball.

I love Tucson. The heat is ridiculous, but manageable. It's gorgeous out here, though. Every way I turn, the Rockies are on the horizon. And the drivers seem to be better here. At the very least, they're more considerate to pedestrians than those in Pennsylvania.

I also love my job, even though we've just been trying to fix the same problem with the instrument for the past four days. My mentor is awesome, very helpful, and excellent at explaining things. So is my boss.

But no, I have yet to try Mexican food. My funds have yet to transfer from my old bank, so for now I only have $300 available to me. In case of emergencies, I'll just be eating rice, pasta, bread, corn flakes, and random vegetables until my funds transfer. I'm also not yet on payroll, so I have no income.
