A useful idiot.
So, Phil Mickelson is arrived very late at Merion last night because he had to attend his daughter's 8th grade graduation. I had a co-worker last week who went to her granddaughter's pre-school graduation.
Anyone else attend any extra "graduations" this season? When did we start doing all this? Is Hallmark behind this?
Honestly, pre-school graduation? Great job reading and coloring! Seems excessive. Do they have a keynote speaker?
High school makes sense - it's the completion of your primary education and a new phase of life. (And honestly, even at high school graduation I was thinking 'wow, congrats on showing up most of the time and not being completely fucking stupid, you've graduated high school!') All these other ones should just be the end of the school year. Changing buildings is not a life event from 8th to 9th grade.
