Don't Blame the Refs
Hey, I was hoping you guys could help me out (and I really didn't want to go to the regular football board because this is just newbie shit).
I am participating in a fantasy football league...and I know nothing about football. Okay, I know the rules, positions, some players, etc, but not really enough about players to make informed decisions. I'm only doing this because it's a work thing. Anyway, for hockey, I am very organized for my draft and have certain strategies, but I don't know where to begin here. I could go to a fantasy site obviously, but I know for hockey, those suck 75% of the time, which is why I would rather get some advice from people I "know" (or at least advice on a good resource).
Questions:
What strategies do you use in drafting? What positions do you select first? Last? What's your priority? (I know it depends on the points system, but speaking generally here.)
Who is injured this year? Going to miss a large portion of the year? Who is an injury risk?
Any sleepers? Rookies who have a good chance at making an impact?
I have the fifth pick. Assuming that certain players are taken 1-4, who is a good choice for that pick?
Like I said, if you just want to point me to a good resource, that is cool (or give me your own advice). Looking for many opinions here (rep for those that help me out if i can give it to you!)
Thanks guys.
