last episode last night. anyone watch it.

what a fucking terrible terrible end to a really good show. this entire "season" and I put it in "" because it was only 6 episodes for the last season. it was a pathetic way to end the show. its like the writers just fuck man we only have 6 30 min shows to end this... fuck it lets do it easy..

so bad.... every episode seemed so random.

SPOILERS

the fucking happy ending for every fucking character was way too easy to do. I mean really sloan fucking HATED E for what he did and one talk from Vince and boom everything is Aok... and fucking Ari getting back to his wife so easily. I guess quitting his job was a big thing but she was such a bitch to him and to turn back so easy was just sad. that being said after the credits were over they rolled a 4 min scene with Ari and his wife and ari got the job offer for the billions of dollars. "spinoff?" i hope as I like angry Ari

it wasnt too bad. I actually really enjoyed the last part of curb last night. it wasnt one of the better ones (Best ever is Palestine Chicken one) Fox was awesome and when he used the 2 shakes I just about spit up. he really was funny this one.

Yes! Dead on, Matt. TERRIBLE ending. I actually though the Ari ending was pretty good just because he took such a major step. They developed that moment with good character development all season and him wrestling with his priorities, realizing his faults, etc. So that one made some sense.

The other two relationships story lines were a complete joke. E and Sloan getting back together? She hated him, he was a complete ass. They've broken up so many times before it was just ridiculous. And she suddenly likes/trusts E's friends after seasons of complaining about them? And then Vince and this other girl (I can't remember her name). It took him weeks(months?) just to get a date with her and she's very pragmatic, but suddenly she's getting married after just a couple days to a person she really didn't like and wasn't really her type of person just b/c he tried really hard? Gimme a break.

You said it right - terrible ending to a great show. What a shame.

I too thought this season of Entourage was pretty awful. While I would say I liked the show, I always think it has been hit or miss. It was on 8 seasons, in my opinion 4 were good and 4 were bad. When it was good it could be really good so I always stuck with it.

The last two seasons were terrible and the only reason I kept watching is because I knew it was ending.

This final season was unbearably awful. Show lasted about 3-4 seasons too long. Can't say I blame anyone involved for wanting to have fun and make money, but nobody could act and the writers had no idea how to write a drama.

they turned it too much into a relationship drama and turned away from movie making, which is what made it interesting.

i don't mind them doing both, but when it's just about movies and 4 guys fuckin around, a half hour works well.

when you try to add relationship drama, you need to expand to a full hour.

every episode felt rushed. the whole last 2 seasons felt rushed.

and the ending, well who doesn't like a happy ending.......

EXCEPT WHEN IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE!

that is the thing. I dont think one fan actually cared about the character detail but the group as a whole. and fucking turtle losing all that weight just looked wrong. wehn he was chubby and hating on Tom Brady he was one of the fav characters. this season total junk.

problem is that the guys had to "grow up." they couldn't just party for 8 seasons, right.

people would get bored of their shennanigans quickly. they were at their best when they were just a bunch of dudes acting like adolescents in fantasy land.

the only way they could keep the show going is if there was a "character arc." but it was done clumisly, lazily and not consistent with the whole tone of the show.

they should have either made it huge thus justifying their crazy behavior or completely crashed and burned. the only two ways it should have ended, and after 4 years. short, sweet and brilliant.

This pretty much nailed it. After about 3 seasons of non-stop partying it would get redundant. In order to keep it fresh they went the dramatic/character development route. The problem is the writer's had no idea how to do this properly.

Read somewhere what they should have done was made the show about Ari. After about 3 seasons of Vince's entourage, move on to another up and coming client (maybe a musician or something) and focus on that new Entourage.
