I've never had an allegiance to one team in baseball, but I always loved watching Andre swing a bat. He always seemed like such a gentle giant with that smile.

Being a huge Pirates fan in the 80's....I saw a lot of the Hawk in action...he was a Pirate killer....and he was something to behold.....one of my all time favorite non-Pirate players....

So because I'm a big nerd and I always like to doublecheck the eye test I took a look at Andre's numbers vs. the Pirates for his career.

.238/.280/.409 against Pittsburgh in 1,054 PAs

That is actually his worst OPS against any NL team (he was worse against a handful of AL teams but that shouldn't be surprising given that he was old as shit during his two years in the AL)
