Hopefully Weirsey (or another Canuck) brings it home this year.

Agreed.
Better course (by a country mile) and surprise, surprise, we see a better field. Saw the same thing when it was played at Hamilton.

Retire Glen Abbey for good and keep the national championship on classic courses like Royal Montreal, St. Georges, Hamilton, Shaughnessy, etc. and perhaps some of the luster of Canada's Open championship can be restored.

If this thread is going to be about something other than Hockey, then it needs some pics or gifs.

Probably the best course I recall for our Open. Was also very glad when Bob Tway won there, he's oldschool and grew up with the Canadian Open being a Major, and he still considered it so and was pretty emotional when he won.

When and if he actually plays an international tournament rep'ing his country with a maple leaf on his flag, I'll call him Canadian. He still plays for T&T and merely makes his home in Canada.

If he wins I'll call him Canadian, though. LOL. Otherwise, he's merely pseudo-Canadian.

In related news, they announced that 2012 will indeed be played in Hamilton (yay). 2011 is in Vancouver, and the Glen Abbey Cow Pasture will have 2013 or 2014, Montreal getting the other of those two years.
