That was good read. Craig McTavish said that on an "Oil Change" episode regarding last year. He said he thought his team made steps in the right direction and were in the hunt for Playoff spot until they went through "Murder's Row" and were severely humbled back out of contention with 3 bad losses.

I think it's awesome that CA is getting so much press in recent years because people back east still believe hockey should not belong in CA. And as always I tell them until you have been out here (meaning living here) and experienced the ups and downs of a season with a CA team in person, you know not what you speak of.

The Kings obviously have the longest standing fan base and over the years haven't had much problem filling the building for almost 20 years because of that fan base. The Ducks fill the building when they win and the Sharks also have not had much problem selling the building out.

More and more players are being drafted out of CA systems including the Junior Kings and Ducks, and with two Cup winners CA has shown not only do they belong in the NHL they have outperformed most Eastern conference teams the last 5-7 years or so.

I loathe the Ducks, but I couldn't help but smile when I saw the scoreboard tonight and saw that they were pounding those schmucks from Vancouver.

I loved it too, but I was also jealous - the Ducks scored almost as many goals in one game (9) than the Kings have in the last five games (10). The Kings REALLY need to either have some guys catch fire (like Brown) or make a move and get a gun.

Preferably both.
