OT: Arrested Development Season 4

Only 2 episodes in and it took some getting used to but I like it. It's different, so I'm sure plenty of people will be a problem for some, but it's good.

I am rewatching the early seasons now to refresh my memory on some of the jokes. Looking forward to the new ones

It's interesting. The structure has a Curb Your Enthusiasm kind of feel, except more complex. And there is something funny about the way they interweave the characters' encounters at common events that happen along each story line but from a different perspective. It's definitely clever (lines that meant nothing in the 3rd episode mean a lot in the 7th instead). But it's the kind of clever that is exactly why they got cancelled.

AD is hilarious and if you are invested, it takes the comedy to another level. But if you are not, you miss have the jokes in an episode.

I really liked that they used most (if not all) of the songs (Mr F, Balls in the Air) etc. from the first few seasons, even if as a 3-second filler at times.

I finished watching them all now and I thought it was a satisfying ending. I was a little worried in the first 2 episodes, but then I think the magic of the series was there for all the others and I can only hope it will continue to be. Wait, bees? Did you say be or bees? No, wait, beads? Oh, bees. No, just be.

I am halfway through. I was worried for a bit after the first Lindsay episode but overall I think the episodes have been good. Some have been really good.
