OT. Anyone need a TV?

I have the best son's in the world. My youngest will be going out of town for three months soon to finish his rotations to get certified as a Dr of Physical therapy so we will not see each other through the holidays. He will be staying with my oldest son (in Ohio) that I also will not get to see while working at my daughter in laws hospital at this time.

He invited me to dinner tonight and they gave me an early Christmas gift. They bought me a 47" HD 3D TV and sound system with Blu ray for my apartment. I was speechless, so now I need to get rid of the 51" Hitachi projection HD TV to a good owner. I may call the Goodwill or Amvets because I know there are people that could use it. It works great and has a good picture. If any of the Buffalo posters know of a family that could use one please PM me and I will give it to them.

Sorry to put up an OT thread but it makes me feel so good that I had to share this with you. Family means so much and should always be a priority in our lives.

But really, If any of the locals know of a family that is in need it's theirs and if need be I will arrange to have it moved for them.

Yeah I'm sure there are. My wife said "what are you going to do with the old one put it out at the curb?. I said no, there are people that could use it but never though of an organization that could use it...thanks for the idea. Like I said it works great! I will check into it like a community center or something like that. I donate money to the city mission but I don't know if they use items like this but it's worth asking.

I donated my Chevy van that was on its last legs to my daughter's high school, they'll use it for training the up-and-coming motorheads and I got a nice tax receipt out of the deal.

You may be right but I'll try and find someone that could use it before throwing it out. That just seems like a waste to me.

Thanks Comeds. Hey buddy the Habs are still available in the 5th annual NHL Board Tournament Sign Ups thread if you're interested. Unless you don't play in those type of tourneys. Just an FYI my friend. I know some people don't care to do those types of games. It's like fantasy teams.

I have a 61" Rear Projection TV that's been collecting dust in my basement for over 2 years now.

The bulb in it always seems to blow within a week or so of replacing it.
