Up next, some guy named Nadal.
Denis now moves past milos in world rankings, no?
With his win over Berdych earlier this week, he was past Milos - Today's win widens the gap even more.
I see lol ... so ... how about striking milos name from the thread title
No way man, he's winning Wimbledon this year.
/Make it so Oprah.
Yeah, when you read that Abanda is the youngest player admitted to the National Tennis Centre in Montreal at the age of 12, her claims of not getting a fair shake ring hollow to me. That said, I don't dispute that she has encountered some racism in her tennis travels, but the bottom line is that results matter and her career thus far has been disappointing.
Sure, Genie has fallen on hard times and will likely never be able to replicate that 2014 year when she made the semi-finals in three of the grand slams, but that's the thing, she did make a mark on the tennis world (albeit a brief one). If I stopped 100 Canadians on the street and asked them who Francoise Abanda is, I bet at most 10 of them could answer correctly.
Oh, and that Nadal guy is pretty good as he just beat Shapo 6-4 6-1 at the Italian Open.
"someone who's never been in my kitchen" doesn't count, Dash
Shapo wins his opening round match in straight sets at the French Open. As for American Jack Sock, well, he didn't have a good day at Roland Garros.
Jack Sock is no John McEnroe.
Congrats to Denis on his win today. Best of luck to him in the rest of the tournament.
So, Connor McDavid is in Paris watching the French Open and cheering on Shapo and tweeted out the following:
Of course, the Twitterverse was quick to respond:
McDavid infects Shapo with Oiler stink, Denis proceeds to lose his next match. Thanks a lot Connor.
I think Wimbledon could be his big break. If he can win a grass court tournament in the next month I might put Uncle Elroy's BBQ chicken joint on him winning.
Pretty funny (and great accent).
Another Seinfeld moment lol
Son of a... I've got money on that match. They've got the ball boys on the take now, what's this world coming to?
lol - Dzumhur almost pulled off the upset (had a match point), but Zverev won in five sets.
Ump should have called the infield fly there
fucking Tom Wilson
