Russia takes set 2 6-3. One set for a place in the finals.

Spain takes the opening set in a tie-breaker. Felix is playing great, RBA just won a few more bigger points.

Spain takes the opening rubber as RBA defeats Felix 7-6 6-3. Shapo vs. Nadal next.

I don't know how many people are watching this match between Shapo and Rafa, but Denis is playing some incredible tennis. The problem is he's playing Rafael Nadal.

From a financial perspective, the team splits 1.75 shmill for making the Davis Cup final and Tennis Canada got a little under 900 grand for its development program. Not too shabby.

Rafa has some nice things to say about these Good Canadian Kids
Rafael Nadal: 'Canada will be one of the almost unbeatable Davis Cup teams'

Tennis Canada brought in Louis Borfiga about 10 or so years ago who was instrumental in building/developing the French national tennis program - One of the first things he said upon his arrival is that the Canadian kids in the program weren't working hard enough. Fast forward to today and it's hard to argue with his results.

Im biased but this guy was a good hire too ... was recruited ... not by tennis Canada officials ... but by Daniel Nestor off the tour in 2007 to coach the cdn kids. Goes from coaching Marat Safin to 11 year olds. Great guy. His kids a helluva hockey player too :thumb:

Good read (you’ll need to run it through google translate lol). He mentions the work Borfiga did and the establishment of the Montreal technical centre as the two big keys to bringing success.
