Just finished Animal Kingdom that was added to Netflix. 6 Seasons that I knocked out in about a month with some pretty heavy binge sessions. Pretty decent chunk of content with 75 episodes in the whole run, with each episode probably 45 minutes.

Family that does crime down in Orange County. Based off a movie/story of an Australian family, and they adapted it for the states.

I actually really liked it overall, and it honestly ends pretty well, So many times a show will leave you with a terrible ending, and this wrapped things up pretty nicely and wraps up most of the storylines by the end.

Heard this is a good one, it's on my list. Haven't watched Yellowstone in about a week, burned out two seasons in like 5 days and needed a break, I'm in early S3 right now.

Wanted to switch it up so last night I was scrolling Paramount and watched a few of the Jackass movies, I forgot how funny those guys were.

Ever watch any of the CKY movies? Those are what started it all. I was into skateboarding at the time so really got into those as it is a mix of skateboarding and the pranking and stunts. Jackass was a spinoff from these originals.

Heard that was the case but never watched those. I'll definitely check them out.

This is very close to what I did. My mom kept saying how good it is, so I plowed through 2 seasons and then sort of fell off. All the chicks in the bunkhouse and all that. Maybe it gets better but I felt like I pretty much got the gist of it.

CKY I knew of but didn't see. Definitely did all the Jackass movies. Took my Dad to see Jackass 3D in the theater and it was so fun. The did a recent Jackass release like a year ago and it was okay, but doesn't hit like it used to. They're all old, so it's a little bit sad in a way, but can't deny how fun they were back 15-20 years ago. Wild Boys was one I always watched in high school too. Steve-O and Chris Pontius doing the most ridiculous stuff.

Wife & I started this a few days ago, almost done with season 2. Is well done. Actually takes place mostly in the Oceanside area, however the main house was on a lot in Warner Bros. lot. Has since been demolished...

I jumped back into Yellowstone after about a three week hiatus since I was getting burned out, I'm now in S4 and believe there's one left. It's good but like most series gets kind of redundant as the seasons move along. Animal Kingdom is absolutely next.

Funny about sets, I for sure thought SOA was filmed in Northern CA since they showed the 580 a lot, the small towns, etc. Turns out almost all of it was filmed in LA and the Valley and Ireland during that season when they went overseas. Was surprised to find that out.

First few seasons of Yellowstone were awesome! Season 4 you could tell the were dragging that season along (over exemplifying "Cowboy Life"), and seemed to leave a lot of potential storylines off the table. Think Costner's divorce was getting in the way of production, as well as Taylor Sheridan (creator) focusing more on other projects at that time. Season 5, sadly, just kind of collapsed, especially with Costner leaving the show.

Lioness on Paramount+, also created by Taylor Sheridan, is definitely worth watching, has 2 seasons.

Wife & I watched The Waterfront on Netflix, was pretty good.

Kind of interest of mine the last 5 years or so, is finding past filming locations, and taking pictures there. Have selfies in front of the house from Breaking Bad (including the crazy lady that owns the house obnoxiously being in the picture - you can find several videos on YouTube about her), the Ghostbusters fire station in NYC, the building for the exterior shots of "Friends", the building used for exterior on "The Cosby Show", and of course the restaurant from Seinfeld.

Nice hobby, it's fascinating to see those sites. I took the kids on the Hollywood open bus tour last year and while not the same it was cool seeing Michael Jackson's house, Elvis, the house from Hocus Pocus, Clueless, etc. Not the same I know but still was a nice trip with them sans the typical LA homeless drugged out guy who had his dong out on a street corner and was high AF, fell over and passed out and kept peeing in the air on his back.

Didn't need my kids to see that.

Finally finished Yellowstone last night, don't understand how that was the craze. S5 was exceptionally disappointing and weird, now I understand why there was a spike in "cowboys", dudes who wore cowboy hats, boots and Carhartt gear but manscaped and probably never even been on a horse. Sit down clown.

Probably start Animal Kingdom tonight, excited for that one.

Yeah, unfortunately Yellowstone just didn't end well, the last couple seasons were let downs. First few seasons, there were so many angles that were just left in ruins, and the whole series became about how much of a "badass" Beth could be (much like everything coming out of Hollyweird these days...).

Wife and I are up to season 4 of Animal Kingdom. Is a solid show.

It sure did become the Beth Show (OT: I will never date anyone with any form of Beth in their name - Beth, Bethany, Elizabeth, etc. Bonafide bat shit crazy ladies) which got old real fast. At the end of the series I looked back and thought "she sure got beat up a lot".

And the whole Beth Rip relationship, I'd read stuff and women are like I need a relationship like that, no you don't - that's toxic as hell.

Wife and I are up to season 4 of Animal Kingdom. Is a solid show.

Still haven't started it, was busy all weekend with the kids and what not but plan to tonight after Junior IIs Pop Warner practice.

He's officially cleared for contact on Sept 3 after his broken wrist on June 6 but he's been going to practices and scrimmages, integrate with the team, learn the plays, listen to your coaches and be a good teammate. It's almost go time son.

Also caught the Giants Jets preseason game on Saturday, it's preseason but wow does Jaxson Dart look good. Hell of a lot better and decisive than Daniel Jones, this clip never fails to make me laugh and sums up his NY Giants career.

Have you done the Universal Studios tour? Not the theme park tram ride, but there is an actual studio tour. I haven't done in several years, but it was pretty awesome. Get to see a lot of the bigger hangars and they tell you what was filmed there. Then they have a huge prop warehouse you can see major famous items from movies. When I went they had this whole Batman area setup with a ton of the Batmobiles and suits. it was off day for shooting the Conan O'Brian show, so we go to go in there and stand where he used to do his monologue. Wife is way into Gilmour Girls, so we saw some stuff for that too.

Definitely but didn't need my daughter seeing that...

The boys, whatever haha.

Not the reference you were going for, but the show "The Boys" is truly insane. On Amazon. I think they have 3 season, and will have more. Basically degenerate superheroes, and this company that just constantly works PR to keep their reputations clean. But they bang everything that moves, and do every drug possible. I can't warn you enough how insane some of the scenes are.

They added Mr. Robot to Netflix recently, so I am circling back to that. Had watched two seasons and it's pretty good too. Season 1 is really amazing actually. Hacker guy who is so drugged out, he basically operates on autopilot. Gets into a group of hackers who go after this Enron type company. Sort of like Anonymous. Def recommend that one. I never got past Season 2 because I thought the show was done, but now years later I keep reading how Season 4 has ratings on par with the best shows of all time (Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones etc.). So I just fired that back up.

Also brainstorming comedies from the last few years. Archer I believe has one final season they are wrapping up, or just wrapped up, and that is done forever. Really hilarious animated show. Silicone Valley is top one for me (Maybe we already talked about it). And then there was a smaller one for 4 seasons called "You're the Worst" that I thought was brilliant. British degenerate living near Silverlake, just navigating LA life.

I'm dumb. The tour was the Warner Bros lot tour. Not Universal.
I've done the Universal tram tour, which is ok.....do they always play the "Everyone must be silent, as we are nearing a zone that is currently filming" card on every tram ride though?

I personally haven't done the Warner Bross studio tour, but last December my wife took our daughter there. Guess every holiday season they do a special Gilmore Girls tour (apparently Christmas season was a significant theme during the show's run), which they enjoyed.

Caught some of The Boys, freaking awesome. I'd totally fit in with those misfits, someone is always doing damage control for me haha.

Have not done the Warner Bros tour but have the Universal, will have to check that one out with the kids. Completely forgot about that one.
