With Lose 4 Hughes (and how will the Kings will blow this 3rd period lead? or how many empty nets did the Kings miss tonight?) the only interesting things left about this season, I was looking back at old drafts.
In '08 Kings take Doughty 2nd in 1st round, then Voynov 2nd in 2nd round---damn good!
In '09 Kings take Schenn with 7th pick in 1st round; the player chosen 8th......Ekman-Larsson!!!
Can you imagine if Kings had drafted Doughty, Voynov and Ekman-Larsson...
Of course, Schenn was traded for Richards...giving Kings 1st and probably 2nd Cup...
But Doughty, Ekman-Larsson and Voynov on blue line from two consecutive drafts! Wow!
