Orlando Franklin injury

Orlando Franklin is set to get an MRI on Monday. I hope he is OK. We really can't afford to keep losing all these offensive linemen. Hopefully he is able to play next week, or at worst will only miss a couple games. That couple with the bye week may give him enough time to heal up.

Looked bad when he got rolled up on. I'm with you though.....hopefully no tear of anything.

Injury bug has definitely been biting out ass here these past few weeks. Reminds me of 09' or 10', whatever it was, where we had like 5 guys leave with injury every week.

Last I heard, he was seen after game in walking boot and on crutches. Not good.

It was on ESPN as one of the articles that it is a sprained ankle (not sure how bad) and an MCL sprain. Now the most severe of these takes about 6 weeks to heal. So if we are doom and gloom I guess it could be longer than a month but Franklin seems to heal pretty quickly and I am feeling pretty optimistic today I guess.

Agreed. At least it's not season ending, and we are getting Kuper back, so that should soften the blow somewhat.

We also have Winston Justice who has been a starter the last two years at RT who I think could do a fine job for us if need be. Thankfully the OL is finally showing some depth to be able to recover from losing somebody.

Cant afford anymore injuries on the o line at all. It didnt look good when it happened. Time for Kuper to step up and stay healthy himself.

On the Denver Post they are now saying 1 to 2 weeks before he is back so maybe it is on the minor side of the sprain scale.

I read somewhere that Kuper was limping after the game yesterday. Did anyone else hear this or witness it on TV? We're going to need a healthy Kuper to keep up with all the injuries!

Kuper was limping some after the game. I'm sure he will have some of that the rest of the year as that ankle will never fully heal. I am very interested to see what the Broncos do this next week of whether they move Vasquez back to RG and start Justice or keep Vasquez at the RT and try out Kuper. I would say when healthy Kuper is definitely a better player to have on the field compared to Justice but not sure how Kuper would do with a full game.

Great news on Orlando. The guy is a stud and an integral part of our offense. We're a little thin at O-line. Which is sort of an ironic statement, if you think about it. With Kuper returning and Franklin's injury seemingly not as bad as feared, maybe our line will solidify. Even with the patchwork unit it has been they have looked pretty good. It doesn't hurt they've had Manning at the helm.

From what I saw he played after Franklin went out. Announcers even mentioned his name a couple times.

Personally I hope they rest him for the next couple of games, that would give him 3 weeks off and hopefully he is close to 100% healthy for the last half of the schedule!
