Not shocked by this since Oregon's defense isn't good. When their offense isn't clicking on all cylinders like last night they usually don't fair well. I'm thinking there is a good chance even a 2 loss team will make the playoffs. If ND beats Stanford tomorrow I really like their chances of making the playoffs.

I really think if ND goes 11-1 and a loss to FSU they are in. No way a 11-1 Oregon team that loses to Arizona gets ahead of a 11-1 ND team that loses to the #1 team in the country.

Ok get ahead of ourselves. Lets Go Irish

ND just needs to win. The rest will take care of itself. When Oregon's offensive line got decimated this year, their days were numbered. I believe were it not for the non-called raping pass interference on the WSU player, UO would have dropped that game as well.

As a side note, between the WSU game and last nights game, I believe the PAC 12officials have been doing everything to protect Oregon and keep them in the playoffs. There have been some head scratcher calls and non-calls in their games. Also, I'd be wary of the PAC 12 crew this weekend at the ND game. The way Shaw is still bitching about the 2012 game and the heat the officials got after that game, I wouldn't be surprised if there have been some private conversations about righting some perceived wrongs. Especially since the PAC 12 playoff representative is a bit of an open question now.

The good news its at South Bend. Refs cant make obvious bad calls or it will get crazy. I think it will be ok.

I think Shaw has been politicking for this since the 2012 game. I agree with jjc2009, I think the refs have been told what to look for and think they will call it really tight on our DB's. I do like the fact that it will be rainy and cold, I think that will be a psychological edge for ND.

As to Oregon, the Michigan fans must be going crazy. At least when we fired Ty and Charlie, they had the good manners to suck even worse at their next jobs. Rich Rod goes to Arizona and beats Oregon twice in a row.

Don't think Shaw should be bitching to the pac12 officials. He probably should have a beef with the replay officials that I believe are not pac12 but from a different conference like big 10

Yes! What a glorious game to watch it was. It was funny how the Ducks fans took it in stride like they expected to lose. Their Oline is decimated and they got pushed around all nite long in the trenches on both sides of the ball. They look very beatable as Mariota seems like he's gonna be the only 'horse' UO really has to depend on right now with that shitty Oline.

OMG at these PAC officials! What a shitshow these guys continue to be. I dunno how the PAC fans can stand it week in and week out. It certainly will be interesting to see how they call it tomorrow. Pleaseeee .... NO RAIN! They were gifting Oregon calls both in the WSU and the Zona game last nite as jjc stated ... it was blatantly obvious there is a bias with UO! Sheeeesh.

And just to be clear, I am not one that ordinarily subscribes to referee conspiracy theories, and in general, I think the Pac 12 officials are among the worst collectively. They are very ticky tack, especially on PI calls. It was just my impression watching the last two Oregon games that the calls were decidedly in Oregon's favor, both in terms of getting the flag or getting away with calls that are almost always called by Pac 12 crews. It just annoys me when Stanford fans or ND haters in general bring up the end of the Stanford game. They forget that (a) that was a Pac 12 crew, (b) the video evidence is pretty clear that Taylor's elbow was down anyway, and that ND players stopped defending the play because the sideline official had blown play dead and was coming in to spot the ball, (c) even if wrong on a and b, they still had to convert the XP just to tie and force a second overtime or convert a 2 point play to even be able to claim they were robbed of victory, thus they weren't actually "robbed" of anything.

People are always going to complain when you have a close game that ends with a replay, who gives a damn, Notre Dame got the win and hopefully they do again.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Stanford. Stanford dominated USC and lost because it was a rivalry game and weird shit happens in rivalries. But if ND beats Stanford it will be huge. If we beat Stanford I like our chances on the rest of the schedule including FSU. I think this is a pivotal game for the season and FSU has looked beatable so far.

GO IRISH!

Oregon's number one problem at this point is their O line.

Yeah the O-Line is in rough shape for Oregon due to injuries.
