He shouldn't be mad at all. We have put a contract on for him but he thinks he's worth more.

This is all on RAK. He wants to be paid like he's top five...but he hasn't produced like he's top five.

Alright I have a pet peeve. And it is.....

The signature sack celebration.
It comes off to me non spontaneous, selfish, immature.

When Rak starts to show that he is more dynamic(has more than just one move), more vocal with his teammates, and does more to influence late in games, I will view him has a special player. Until then, he is just a good pass rusher.

Agreed. But he's now paid as an elite pass rusher. As GK said, its time for him to live up to his pay if he wants a long term deal.

If Attachou is drafted at 34, do you think Rak gets his long term deal in 2015? Even after a great season.

Potentially, but we don't necessarily have to pay top dollar any more. We would now have options so we are in the top position at the bargaining table. Of course it also depends on how Rak does this year. If he gets 15+ sacks, he gets his deal. If he is still in the 10-13 sack range, it gets dicey.

80% of players that play out a year on the franchise tag leave their respective teams the following year.

If RAK puts up 10 sacks...he won't get paid huge by us and will likely be gone in FA.

If he puts up 15 sacks...he will get paid like he wants to be.
