Opting Out

So far, quite a few players have already opted out of playing for the NFL in 2020. So far, none of them have been Eagles. We'll see what happens in the future.

A shame, as he would have brought some vet experience. I am hoping that Howie will sign or trade for another vet who is accomplished to fill that void. I know that Jeffrey will miss the first few games anyway.

I don't think so because I wouldn't think that they will get paid - but I could be wrong.

Players who voluntarily opt out of the season will receive a $150,000 salary advance and their contract will toll.

My son is a PSU grad (2 masters degrees). I told him this morning that I think it will hurt him in the 2021 draft, since he won't play his Junior year. He disagrees, and Kiper has him in the top 5 picks.
