Well it's finally here..it's Opening Day when hope is in the air and optimistic fans believe their team is going all the way. There is a 10 year old boy in Cincinnati that is fired up that the Reds can form a new Big Red Machine and he will hold on to that dream in his heart and try and make it come true. There is a nun in New York City saying a extra Opening Day prayer for her Mets ..that they can find 86' Ya gotta believe magic.
In D.C. everyone is sky high on the Nationals and they should. Strong team with Harper and his boys. Loyal A's fans have hope that Billy Beane's special home cooking stew can feed them another WS Championship. Angles fans hope a Trout swims toward a MVP year and Tigers fans hope their Tigers have the eye of the Tiger finally living up to their potential. Boston fans hope a Panda can combine with a Big Papi to bring back glory after a down year.
In San Diego the Padres are making moves like Travolta in Saturday Night fever and Dodgers fans are hoping Giants fans don't drown them out with LET'S GO GIANTS ! chants in their Chavez Ravine yard. Finally in San Francisco the defending champs try and go on the long ride to Dynasty history and defy all the naysayers and odds makers once again. Where ever you are today..it's a day of hope and the chance the baseball Gods will rain love down on their team. In baseball as in life..anything is possible and the dreamers dream the impossible dreams..and sometimes those dreams really do come true. If you truly believe ..it just might happen for you.
Pure imagination is not only for young children..but for children of all ages.
