Just came across this and found it rather interesting and truthful.

Dear Condoleezza Rice: Good luck fixing the NCAA

"When it was discovered that, at what we've always considered an academically admirable school, championships had been won by teams loaded with players who took completely phony classes, most of us were sincerely shocked. We were stunned again when, after years of cogitation, the NCAA delivered a penalty of . . . nothing. It was a final confession of futility, confirming the necessity of this special commission, if any meaningful change is going to happen from the collegiate end."

Correct, however UNC did a disservice to all of its "students" involved. This is one of the reasons a college degree isn't valued as much anymore and why a rather large number of pro (NFL and NBA) are broke within a few years removed from the leagues. Most if not all major universities bend, push, and out right break rules. In this case someone was smart enough to include "regular" non-athletes to attend said classes.

I agree with the article as to using the guidelines of college baseball. JMO opinion but this is an all win scenario. The "student" athlete, the school and MLB all benefit.

Since I joined somehow ( guess since both schools and fans have issues) seems @tabascojet and I bet every time we play.

Hopefully the weather won't be an issue for them tonight :D.
