The NFL only gave the 49ers a warning for the sideline hit on Lane. Probably lucky that is all they got, but I'll take it.

49ers warned for sideline hit

Hilarious because after the NFCC game the whole Seahawks board was squawking (lol) that the league was going to dock the Niners a draft pick, levee a fine upwards of $1,000,000, and suspend the employee/player/whomever for the entire 2014-2015 season.

Goes to show that they're probably the dumbest posters on sports SportsHoopla. My football IQ goes down everytime I see them post on this board.

To be fair, they were looking at the strength coach from the Jets and how the NFL handled that situation vs. a player on our team and what that would be seen by the NFL. I totally disagree that we were ever going to lose draft picks over it and thought that they were way overboard on their assessment but I also understood the line of thinking based on past incidents that Emperor Goodell rained down his fury upon with the Jets.

This gif of the incident was posted on the Seattle board a day or so after it happened.

I don't know about that, but neither do I care. The view was obstructed and it looked worse live. As said before, work to stay in bounds.

Yeah, assuming he's allowed to be there that doesn't even warrant a warning.

I thought the difference between this and the Jets was the Jets happened on the restricted white line where you can't interfere with anyone whereas this occurred outside the playing field where staff and bench players have the right to be?

Plus, the Jets were coached to do that. Other then a possible general intent to get the player out of bounds, this was not a practiced thing.

The huge difference between this and the Tomlin and Jets incident is Tomlin and the Jets guys were fully positioning themselves to interfere with the play.

In this case the Seahawk guy was way out of bounds and the guy that hit him was standing there the entire time and didn't appear to put himself in a position to knock the guy down.

You could argue he might've been a little more proactive in trying to get out of the way but it's not like he saw the guy coming and headed towards his path with the intent to knock him down.

Im surprised the 49ers got a warning to be honest. Dude was just standing there away from the sideline. Looked like he was protecting himself and its hard to say otherwise with this angle. Hard to see intent with a guy blocking the view.
