Since we wont be making the playoffs, I at least dont have to worry about pissing the wife off when she says she wants to go to some Art festival on a weekend in January that might interfere with me watching a playoffs game.

Homey, I think you need a re-education on the term "On the bright side." Kickin it at some art festival holding your wife's purse all day does not, I repeat, does not, qualify as anything on the bright side.

To what? Indigenous native peoples?

The Washington Penicillin, no matter how sick you feel, one shot at us will make even teams on their death bed feel better.

Fuck....we don't have Cleveland on the schedule, they seem to have a patent on number one picks or something. Would love to have a chance to play spoiler against at least one team sometime!:D

Don't be a tool

I don't really want the Skins to change their name and truth be told. This is really the only Redskins related issue that I'm glad Snyder is our owner. As he's a wealthy prick who thinks concerns of others need not apply to him if they interfere with what he wants. I love the Redskins. Always have since the very first time I saw them on tv when I was 10 years old. But unlike homegrown or local area fans. I have no connection or affinity whatsoever to DC, Maryland, Virginia etc. As long as they had the same unis. I would be as much of a Redskins fan right now if when I was 10 years old and saw them the first time and they were. The San Antonio (Tx) Redskins, the Cheyenne (Wy) Redskins or the Bismark (ND) Redskins. No doubt the Washington Redskins flows off the tongue better than any of those other cities/places, I'm not a fan of the city/place where the Redskins play. I'm a fan of the Redskins, it wouldn't matter to me the city/place where they play.

As of right now, there's only one name change I'm really behind and that's the Washington Warriors. As that would allow the Skins to keep their present colors, decals/emblems etc if Snyder opted to do that. Being the ass0 that he is though and the monetary/marketing opportunities a name change would present. I suspect he'd opt for new unis new decals/emblems/mascots etc. Which would be cool as I think that would also me to drop my fandom.

The Skins were bad for a long time before Snyder ever hit the scene. I can deal with being a fan of a shitty team. Hell, I'm a Clippers fan going all the way back to their days as the Buffalo Braves. There's something about the way the Skins have conducted business and the way they go about things since Snyder became the owner though. Something I don't want to be a part of even if its just from a 'outside looking in' perspective, but I can't break away from it because the Redskins are a part of it and I love the Redskins.

If they change the name though, the Redskins would no longer exist. I could then walk away from the madness, anger, embarrassment, and frustration that hovers over this team like the mushroom cloud after detonation of a massive bomb. If that makes me a tool. I'm a tool.
