Game Thread: Oklahoma vs. Baylor

Oklahoma hopefully prepared their anus because this is about to get ugly. I'm talking Red River Shootout ugly. Oklahoma is stout in the backfield but that D Line has issues after their anchor got hurt. Baylor is gonna exploit that. You gotta get a pass rush with your D Line to slow down Baylor. Everybody else is spread out so it's hard to blitz.

OU is 21-1 against BU. Baylor's one win was with a Heisman winning guy named RGIII. Will the Sooners add another mark or do the Bears get a 2nd win against OU?

I'm calling it now that Oklahoma is a 3 loss team this year. Oklahoma St beats them too. To be honest though, Oklahoma isn't in as bad of shape as their fans act from a young talent standpoint. They might not be getting top 10 classes every single year at the moment, but I like a bunch of their young players. Especially on defense.

Lets settle down with Art Briles being the God of Football.

He has made Baylor fun.

But, he still cannot win road games at all.

Baylor is utterly useless on the road versus any team with a pulse.

Plus, he is a sleazeball and very shady dude.

That would not work at a high profile gig like Alabama, Texas, USC, etc.

You can get a Bobby Petrino/Art Briles to take secondary programs, but it is too RISKY for the bluebloods.

I don't know, this works for Oregon. But sometimes, when other teams do this kind of thing, they end up losing.

Stampede I can't agree with you there. I've met Art Briles several times and a buddy of mine played for him at Stephenville. There isn't anything sleazy about him unless you are facing him and he is revered by high school coaches in the state.

An average season for OU is winning the B12(8 of the last 14 titles)

A good season for OU is winning a BCS bowl(this hasn't been easy for OU)

A great season for OU is winning a NC(have 7 of those).

OU is the gold standard for the B12. The team that all others in the B12 gauge themselves by. Beating OU can change a program(Briles words - pregame). Some here can see how excited UT fans get by beating OU by 16 pts(OU has averaged beating UT by 30 the past 3 years).

Not saying this isn't big, but just another game for OU.
