OK random thought: catchers and OBP

Just pure theorizing, should catchers have a littler better batting eye/walk drawing ability since their job is to predict and decide what pitch to throw? They have the catcher's perspective on pitching even as a batter

Does the data show any evidence of this? Not going to look it up too lazy just a random thought. My hunch says no even the opposite, not really able to think of lots of high walk/high OBP catchers

Seeing a pitch while squatting on the ground is way different from seeing one standing up. That's my theory anyway, otherwise we'd have seen multiple 50 HR catchers by now

On top of that catcher is the hardest defensive position to play. Your legs take a massive toll because of the constant squatting, it's mentally draining, you take a lot of bumps/bruises due to grounders/foul tips/accidental bat hits, etc...

You're not NEARLY as fresh as an outfielder or 1st baseman or obviously DH.
